Why the Flaming Coals Tempmaster Pro is a Game Changer for Low & Slow BBQ

Why the Flaming Coals Tempmaster Pro is a Game Changer for Low & Slow BBQ

If you’ve done much cooking with charcoal in a smoker or kettle you’ll know how important it is to maintain the cooking temperature inside the BBQ. You’re probably familiar with the process of fiddling with the vents and adding charcoal - then fiddling with the vents again to keep the temperature as steady as possible. Managing the fire can get repetitive and maybe even a little bit stressful if you’re cooking for a crowd and your pitmaster rep. is on the line.

Pellet BBQ Smokers give you the option to manage nearly the whole cooking process, but you do give up something when you replace a charcoal fire with pellets. Ideally, we’d all be able to automate the temperature management side of things without having to give up the ‘real fire’

Enter the Flaming Coals Tempmaster Pro Automatic BBQ temperature fan. The fan unit attaches to the (usually bottom) vent of your smoker with all the other lower vents closed. The fan unit then connects to a control unit where you set your desired cooking temperature. The control unit has a probe in the BBQ monitoring temperature changes. This allows it to control the speed the fan is blowing air into the fire chamber through the vent, controlling the fire and the temperature in your BBQ.

The Tempmaster Pro senses temperature changes and corrects for them in less time than it would take you to put your drink down and read the gauge on the BBQ. It hums away for long cooks - not just making sure the temperature is right but also that you use minimal fuel. It is designed to make sure you don’t lose track of the temperature and ruin the food and so that you don’t need to spend all your time fiddling with the fire.

It’s no surprise that we sold the first batch of Tempmaster Pro Smoker thermostats so quickly and that they got some rave reviews.
The second batch is about to arrive, so if you want to take your fire game to the next level of control, get your order in now.
