The Best BBQ for Cooking Steak A Comprehensive Guide

There is nothing quite like a delicious, juicy steak cooked on the BBQ. However, not all BBQs are created equal - some work better than others for cooking steak. In this comprehensive guide, we will discuss the best BBQs for cooking steak, as well as how to cook steak on each one. So whether you are an experienced BBQ chef or a complete novice, you'll be able to cook the perfect steak every time!

The best BBQs for cooking steak are ones that use charcoal as the heat source. This is because charcoal provides a consistent, high heat that is perfect for searing steak. Gas BBQs don‚Äôt provide the flavour, heat or consistency that you will receive from cooking over charcoal.

We have a whole range of BBQ‚that would be perfect for cooking steak. Our favourite would have to be the SNS Kettle BBQ . Check SNS Kettle here

When cooking steak on a charcoal BBQ, it is important to start with a hot fire. The best way to do this is to light the coals (check out our blog on lighting charcoal) then, spread the coals out evenly over the bottom of the BBQ. Place your grill over the coals and let it heat up for a few minutes before adding your steak. You may also want to invest in GrillGrates and the Flaming Coals Burger Press to achieve those perfect grill lines.

One method to achieve the perfect steak is called the reverse sear method which can be done incredibly well on the Slow ‚ÄòN Sear Kettle BBQ. You need to first get the steak to 125-130f (51 to 55c) indirect, take it off the BBQ. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes before searing it directly above the charcoal. Once it is cooked to your liking, remove it from the grill and there is no need to allow it to rest again.

No matter what type of BBQ you are using, always make sure that your steak is cooked to your liking before removing it from the grill. This will help to ensure that it is juicy and flavorful. Resting the steak for a few minutes after cooking will also help to lock in the juices and make it even more tender.

Now that you know the best BBQs for cooking steak, as well as how to cook them perfectly every time, there is no excuse not to enjoy a delicious steak dinner! So fire up your BBQ and get cooking - your taste buds will thank you!
