BBQ Spit Rotisseries is committed to helping to protect the environment, being socially responsible and giving back to our community. Here are some of the initiatives we’re currently doing to make a difference:

Sustainability

  1. Waste reduction - We reuse all the cardboard boxes and protective packaging we receive from our suppliers to ship orders out to our customers.
  2. Our Melbourne showroom is powered by solar
  3. We recycle and repurpose the wooden pallets we receive our stock on
  4. We have installed energy-efficient LED lights throughout our showrooms, offices and warehouses as well as automatic light and computer shut off at the end of the day.
  5. We follow Lean Manufacturing principles during our production process.
  6. The rotisserie motors we manufacture are highly efficient with the largest rotisserie motor (our 100kg capacity motor) only drawing 60W

Giving Back

  1. All proceeds from paid BBQ classes, competitions and events are donated to the Movember Foundation
  2. We hold free demonstrations, live events and informal get-togethers to bring members of the community together over a shared passion.
  3. We foster a strong online BBQ community where we encourage the community to share their cooking photos and tips and educate our audience with engaging masterclasses, content and live Q&A sessions
  4. We offer local not-for-profit organisations free spit hire and gift vouchers to use in their fundraising efforts
  5. Our team participates in the annual Push-up Challenge to raise funds and awareness for mental health
  6. Our General Manager and Marketing Manager ride 500kms in Thailand and raise a minimum of $5,000 each annually to raise funds for Hands Across The Water. We also sponsor a 10-year-old boy named Mitsu who lives in one of the Hands Across the Water supported orphanages in Chanthaburi, Thailand
  7. Several members of our team regularly participate in cycling and running events to raise funds for charities such as the Starlight Foundation, National Breast Cancer Foundation and Vision Australia to name a few.
